Slightly different question about the well known clutch issue for the v6 s in particular. I couldn’t immediately see an answer so hoping PH can help!

If the clutch has been replaced, but some time ago, is it likely to fail again? Or does the updated clutch fully address the weakness (so much as it can). If it helps, I’m looking at a 2015 V6 S with the clutch changed in 2016.

If it's got the bigger 4** series clutch from the 410/430 and Evora then potentially yes you should be fine. However, seeing it was done in 2016..... A: that's 10 years ago and that's impossible to speculate on. And B: I'd guess not the bigger clutch because they weren't doing the 4** series cars then. I'd hazard a guess your car doesn't have the bigger clutch, unless it was the evora item.

Even with a 4** series clutch though, they can still fail. A number have been known to disintegrate due to rivets failing. Aside from that the 4** series clutch is pretty hardy.

If your potential purchase has survived 10 years on it's new clutch quite happily then it's obviously done OK. If the car is good then just put some money aside for the replacement should it rear it's head in the future.
