In case anyone remembers (or cares) I'm back and now in my third Monaro. I was originally the owner of a 2004 CV8 (quicksilver) and then another 2004 CV8 which Monkfish kindly supercharged and added AP's etc.
I have just bought another supercharged 2004 CV8 so thought I'd stick my head in and see if any familiar faces might still be around (happy to see a few)!

And by the way, since the demise of Monkfish where do we go for knowledgeable work on these cars now??

Hi there, how are you?
Good to see you're back 👍
The best place to go now for work on our cars is MWP in Chester!
They're excellent.
Not sure if anyone's else has any other recommendations.

I'm good thanks. Glad to see you're still here! I've seen a few names I recognise which is great!

I sold M40ARO in 2010 and bought it back in 2012. Unfortunately all the best mods had been removed so I ran it for another year and sold it on again.
Tomorrow I take delivery of another low-mileage 2004 CV8, also supercharged and with AP's. I'd dearly love to get a good check done by one of the experts but Chester is a bit of a trek...

Welcome back Gas_Man

I remember your username from the old days, unfortunately there isn t anywhere near the amount of postings on this forum now. I think a few moved over to Facebook and the others probably sold their cars and moved on.
I’m curious to know why you bought another Monaro, it must be strange going back to one after so many years.
I am sure like me others would be interested in some photos and details of your car especially a supercharged one, that s quite a find.
Anyway best of luck, keep us posted.

John

Hi mfp,
Honestly it’s the best car I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few! I’ve been in the position where I could buy one if I could find one for a while and been keeping my eye out for a suitable option for almost 2 years.
I wanted the bigger boot and cheaper RFL so had to be 2004. Preferably with the supercharger and AP’s and not a silly price. I’ve been fortunate to find a low mileage example so took my chance. I appreciate the car is the same age as my now grown-up daughter but getting increasingly rare, if I didn’t do it now I likely never would.
