Morning everyone.

Thought I would show a few pictures of my show project Mini.

Its a 2013 One, was my daily for a couple years until my circumstances changed. I had been out of the show scene since the early 00's when I was part of various Ford groups, frustrations with my cars and a certain owners club, and also working on cars day in day out, made me lose enthusiasm with my own vehicles.

I bought this just before lockdown, ran it around for a while not really sure how I wanted to modify it, when I saw Gonzo, the rat look R50. I loved the style, low on small banded steels, and wanted to recreate something similar, but as more of a 60's & 70's Mini tribute.

I have done so much work on this car, especially over the last 2 years, including a 6 month strip down and restoration of the underside. I have forgotten all the mods I have done, most are pretty subtle and you need to have a good close look round to see all the details.

Its currently in the garage with its interior stripped for a partial retrim, and the seats are going back to Corbeau (thankfully only a couple miles away from me) to have brown chequered cloth centres added. Also my Dad who was a carpenter is making some real wood facia trims to complete the classic interior.

Its not to everyones taste, but 99% of comments are positive. It has won several trophies at Brands Hatch Mini Festival and the Mini & Metro Show at Gaydon.

I absolutely love this car, the Mini scene is extremely friendly too which adds to the enjoyment.

I've said it elsewhere, you did a cracking job on it and I look forward to seeing the interior.

Your car and some others I've seen online have inspired my hunt for a proper project car.

I have been thinking about banded steel wheels. How much wider did you go? Look brilliant

Nicely done but the cheapo eBay floormats are letting down what could be an amazing interior

The mats actually look ok and are not really any different to the genuine ones, that photo is well over exposed for some reason, hence the brown steering wheel which is actually black, it makes everything look a different shade

That's nice.

I approve, the green is a nice touch, very BL '70s.
