Hi All,

Does anyone have experience with triple fan kit replacement for Alpine A110?

I had issues with overheating ("check ignition" message) on track days (specifically after 15+ minutes and particularly on a hot days). While having longer break times and opening the cover helps, it's somewhat annoying to do it.

MP-R have a kit, but I have not seen any feedback on it and unclear what the cannula option and thermal switch add.

Any other comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well.

David Pook aka Life110 has some valuable insight on cooling if you haven't seen it already. The wheel liners for example seem important, so if you have an older car you might want to fit the newer high airflow ones.

Could only find a facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/alpinelife110/posts/very-...

I have no idea about the fans btw, but they seem to be more to do with moving air over the exhaust and turbo and tend to come on at slower speeds, so I'm not sure how essential an upgrade would be.

Based on my research and from what other owners have told me the MP-R triple fan set up isn’t all that effective at removing heat while the car is in motion, more so when stationary to prevent heat build up after a track session etc. They are also a lot louder than the OEM setup if that bothers you.

I would look at adding NACA ducts under the floorpan and potentially an open canula at the rear which allows the heat to escape more efficiently.

As you have mentioned opening the rear screen immediately after each session helps significantly and is the most effective way of keeping EGT sensor temps down (reduce heat soak).

If you’re tracking in anger, you really need to remove the OPF/oem cat and get a sports cat/decat, fit a gearbox cooler and oil cooler. However, all this can be mitigated by running shorter sessions (particularly on hot days) which isn’t ideal but its one of those things.

This year Going to put a wortec exhaust on as have hear good things re reduction in temps and zircotec it

Then maybe a gearbox oil cooler if needed.

Could ask Ben at Hype motorsport what they have done to there A110S that gets hired out

Hi Matt

is there any point fitting the ADM scoops if I don't modify the exhaust (or anything else)? Not sure on the airflow exits etc...

Evening, I have not got a modified exhaust either (yet ?) , I would say the oppersite that there is more point as the bay would be hotter with the OE exhaust

Way I see it is for the small cost and ease of fitting it s a no brainer as getting cool fresh airflow into the bay can t be a bad thing.

Some purest will say the airflow under the car will be disturbed resulting in less downforce generated by the underside of the car, but as I m no driving god I doubt I would notice at my skill level

This looks interesting for exiting airflow
