And some would be right.
There is Aston Martin Life and also the one through the Owners Club ( AMOC ) but PH tends to be looked at a) more regularly b) more quickly and c) depending on your model of interest more applicable to car related issues.

This one works well for me, but if you have a pre-Gaydon car there may be others with more footfall.

There’s also 6speedonline.com Aston section, yes it’s manly American but there’s a lot of great info on there.
Good luck with the search, I came to mine via an M4 and a Mustang, wouldn’t go back!

Aston Owners

Think of it as the AM version of TIPEC

A lot of expertise on there especially for Vanq 1 owners, but a broad, friendly church.

They are linked to Aston Spares, the aim being to help owners keep their cars running without paying the Aston tax.

That looks well. Can I see an Eisenmann or Supersprint exhaust too? Manual or SMG?

I had a lot of fun in my E46 M3. Lowered, CSL geo. CSL TC update, CSL wheels. Don’t need much else at the time. Great cars and thankfully didn’t have any subframe issues.

I have David Appleby Engineering s Nitron dampers on mine and they are great. Totally improve the ride in all areas and are so much better when pressing on. Quite a few owners on here have them.

Later suspension can be made to fit but isn t plug and play. It s also a more expensive option.

Quite a few decent options available now which is good, and the stock dampers are pretty pants.

There are several decent Facebook groups that are very active, the V8/V12 Vantage Owners group, 4.3 Vantage Owners and Aston Martin (DIY) are all great.

Also I think loads of us have had E46 M3s at some point so you’re in good company!

Hey!

Too many mods and changes to list but its manual well sorted and well used car

On a 4.3 (manual) the initial mods to do are;

Twin plate clutch; lightened flywheel.
Remove the 900 cell cat 'bricks'; 3-way wired exhaust valve switch; Prodrive airbox mod.
4.7 Bilstein dampers.

That gives you a good base. After that if you wanted to, you could modify it all the way to this Le Mans winner.

Thanks once the car is sorted likely doing the nitron shocks the bilsteins appears to be double the cost

I will likely overhaul the cooling system and belt drive soon after purchase and anything else I find

Seems like the go to mods are

Equal length headers
200 cell cats
Adjustable flaps
Intake and tune
Gain around 50bhp and 30nm or somthing most say

Beat value seems to be top gear exhausts

After this is will be small cosmetics and getting some custom wheels made

hhmm, not sure on your choice of headers tbh. I've seen some and the way they are made would spell turbulence to me having a slip over and weld design with the smaller diameter pipe facing towards the engine iyswim. Someone may correct me but it's how I see it. Anyway good luck, great looking cars.

Thanks

Ill make a proper build thread somewhere

Only thing definate is im getting one and will likely need shocks so nitron is the best bet

Everything else will be micro ANALysed before each step

You should do some research - Top Gear manifolds are not universally liked. I too was intrigued by the (relatively) low price, but I’ve read several articles that suggest they don’t flow as well as the better manifolds from BR or VAP
