Obviously it shouldn't have happened but it did and it was all over in a matter of seconds.

Men with guns asking her to stop . Just stop - that's it surely everyone knows this by now ? Is the same as these idiots (Chris Caba) in the UK that fail to do the same when asked by armed police with guns - the guns are there to shoot you with if you are not compliant. They are not a fashion accessory.
It’s an insight into what is happening in the US, as it heads towards full on autocracy. Absolutely disgraceful and in any normal functioning society would possibly bring down the whole department. Instead it will be forgotten about inside a week. Trump doing his best to whitewash it claiming the agent is now lucky to be alive and recovering in hospital.

Hardly in front. He was on the corner of the front nearside (as we’d call it on a RHD car) and took one step to his right. Had he done that instead of drawing his gun he’d have been nowhere near the car. Instead he stepped aside with ease and continued to fire a further two rounds into the car and driver. That’s murder. Plain and simple.
Whoever was driving was deliberately accelerating away/running from agents who had their guns drawn, who had stopped this person? What should those officers had done precisely, just let her drive off then engage in a police chase through the town?
It's unfortunate the single shot killed the driver, but what am I missing, why is this due so much outrage?

Agree with this. If police with guns ask you to do something just do it. Ask questions later. TX.

From the video, the agents weren't in danger and the person at the car's window just unloaded their weapon into the driver needlessly.
Perhaps you need to watch again. The shooter was the "agent" directly in front of the moving vehicle & was most certainly in danger.
Top tip.
If a "law enforcement officer" with a gun tells you to stop, it is a good idea to stop.
It is difficult to see how that was defensive shooting.
Moving further away from the car would have been better defence.
It was a use of force to kill somebody who didn't want to stop.
There often seems to be a low threshold for pulling out firearms and firing them at people in the US.

The trump loon going on telly and labelling her a domestic terrorist says a lot to me.

It probably doesn't help that the shooter was an ICE agent as opposed to police.. Not everyone regards them as legitimate law enforcenent in the first place. It's unfortunate the single shot killed the driver, but what am I missing, why is this due so much outrage?

Yes the bullet hole is in the front windscreen. What will be key then is if the vehicle was trying to go forward (toward the agent) or reversing to try and get away. I have heard it claimed both ways and, when I watched the video, the wheels were slipping on the ice so a bit hard to tell.

I think because the level of force used was not in proportion to the alleged crime..... if she'd just shot up a school or fired a gun at them then yes, warranted, but for the contents of that video it is totally disproportionate.... she was not using the car as a weapon driving at the officers, she was trying to escape. The correct action would have been to just let her drive off and get her another time. Killing her is just plain murder. The enforcement officer was nowhere near to be running over. It's unfortunate the single shot killed the driver, but what am I missing, why is this due so much outrage?
.... and I really wish Trump would get his facts right before he opens his stupid big mouth. The officer was apparently run over and taken to hospital? Did he even look at the video before coming out with such s
t? Same as taking Putin's word over Zelenskey's with the drone attack on one of Putins residence without paying any attention to what really happened. He makes himself look really stupid and a bully....AbbeyNormal said:
Not seen the video but did he have his gun drawn when she was driving towards him, or did he draw it as she was travelling towards him? Big distinction. The latter I would say it was murder, if he had his gun pointing at her then less so.

He was standing directly in front of the car and drew his gun right at the point the driver floored it 'torwards him'.
He pulled the trigger at the point the car was still in front of him, but driving round him, having turned to the right.
As always I'm waiting until we have ALL the videos in public including officer body cams before making a decision based on none complete info which is being used by the media/politicians to grab an emotional reaction.
Once we have ALL the info we can make better decisions - just as the media driven hype around the convington kids and Kyle Rittenhouse showed once all the evidence was seen - and if all the evidence shows an innocent woman being killed then I'm all for criminal punishment, but if it doesn't then I'm also all for the officer to be exonerated, or maybe it's somewhere in between those two examples etc.

It s quite simple, don t drive your suv at armed agents. Stupid games win stupid prizes.
YesA car is a lethal weapon. If you try and drive it at armed police officers/government agents anywhere in the world you are likely to end up dead.
If that is what happened then that is why it had the outcome it did. As I say though I have only seen footage from one angle and it wasn't that clear.
