RAC Platinum warranty from a dealer.
Discussion
I’m currently in negotiations for an AUC X5, it comes with a 12 month BMW warranty, dealer is offering an RAC platinum warranty, which he says mirrors the AUC warranty, I’m a little sceptical about 3rd party warranty ‘s, so just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with the RAC warranty which they’ve bought from a BMW dealer.

Do you know why he is pushing a second warranty on a car that already has a BMW warranty? My worry is that the car is not actually AUC and he is trying to dupe you, but hopefully not!
It comes with a 12 month AUC warranty, the dealer is offering a year 2 & 3 RAC platinum warranty. The car is 100% an AUC car.

Is the car eligible for the BMW extended warranty instead? Would pick that over a 3rd party one... https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/ScoobyChris said:

Yes, I’d already run a quote to compare the prices, the RAC warranty is half the price of an extended BMW warranty, I’ll probably just extend when the time comes, I wouldn’t want to wait until something goes wrong to find out how good (or bad) the RAC warranty would be.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
