Mk5 Golf R32 possible rear subframe knocking?

So I have very recently fitted all new suspension parts to my car but that has now thrown up yet another issue. There is a knocking noise from the drivers side rear and for the life of me I can’t find it.
Has anyone had any issue with the rear subframe knocking at all, issues with bushes possibly?
We had it on the ramp at the garage and had a good 20 mins trying to locate this fault (we could replicate the noise by moving the car) but all seemed good, no loose bolts, greased rear anti roll bar bushes, tightened a couple rear subframe bolts. The noise was actually a lot louder on the way home like we had made it worse. The lads had another car in so had to have the ramp back. All I can think is rear subframe bush?? Are these located between the body and the subframe? Would you have to drop the subframe to get to these bushes?
It’s really getting me down, I just don’t drive the car now.
It’s like a cracking / creaking but just one side. I can only think it’s started because all the new parts have tightened everything up and now found a weak point?
