Uk vehicles that I can t attach a magnet to the side. List
Discussion
Hi everyone.
I’m trying to compile a list of vehicles that won’t attract a magnet to the bodywork. I’m selling a fishing rod holder for my website. But would like to show vehicle that don’t attract, my magnetic rod holder .
I know the Range Rover, f pace and the new Nissan quashqui . From googling it but if anyone knows of anymore please let me know .

You also need a list of cars that don't have enough room inside for a fishing rod, and then you need to cross-reference both lists.
You can leave out any cars that aren't owned by any anglers. That's another list.
It's beginning to sound like a spreadsheet rather than just a list...
Seriously, though; magnets won't stick to aluminium or plastic. A list of cars to which they will stick is going to be a lot shorter.

Aluminium:
Various Jaguars (XJs since the X350)
Some Audis (A2, A8)
Aston Martins since the DB9
A110
Ferraris since the 360
Lamborghinis since the Gallardo
McLarens (where not composite)
Honda NSX
Fibreglass / SMC:
Lotus
Marcos
Ginetta
Noble M12, M500
Corvette
Espace
There are also various cars with odd non-ferrous body panels - the plastic Clio wings as noted, ally Volvo 740/760 estate tailgate, Mazda RX-7 bonnet. But probably owners of these would be able to find an alternative location to secure a magnetic attachment.

Cheers for the replies. I’m guessing that the spreadsheet for the anglers would then have to be separated into another list of which type of angling they do .
Very problematic.
I’m guessing that the majority of the modern cars panels would not be aluminium or plastic based , probably the front wings would be plastic . And forgetting about the windows being “glass” obviously . The vast proportion of what I’m talking about is the side of the vehicles around the doors/rear quarter. “A” pillar and further back really to the “d” pillar. Or “c” pillar if it doesn’t have a “d”
Do the new defenders have plastic/aluminium panels ?
