I'm trying to find these in smaller amounts but cannot find them anywhere.

They will sit on metal stud to attach 18mm ply for support brace for the bathroom.

Be cheaper just to ply the whole wall than pay that?
Looks a cool system, but can do the same just fixing in to the wall instead?
If the void is 25mm, say, just get 18mm board and pack 7mm out behind to bring it flush with the front of the stud, etc.
Need space behind it for pipe/connection to a shower head.

Has crossed my mind about flogging them off, but I'm not sure how much reach I've got to dipsht's doing Renos on instagram lol.
If these were a couple of quid I'd go with them for ease.
I'll try some metal joining plates today screwed horizontally.
I'm assuming that a pattress is only useful to keep the ply/OSB clamped not completely secured alone with it. The original boys who built the place used T&G screwed in with the groove in the Metal stud niche and that was solid enough lol.

Try using sections of 25x25mm angle, fixed back to the stud.
I tried making one of these with a bit of stud and wasn't suitable as I assume when fabricated it's more effective. Gypsum do this steel angle you recommend as an option https://www.british-gypsum.com/products/metal-prod...
Can't seem to bloody find it anywhere at a decent price (10 quid a Sq M in Jewsons).
