Swapping one small basin for another
Discussion
In my loft ensuite bathroom I have a very small basin. I needed one that was compact due to size restrictions but it's stupidly small. So I want to swap it over for a larger one and I think I've found one that balances the right mix of still being small but it's a more user friendly size.
The only issue is that I really do not want to mess around drilling new mounting holes because I have no more of the tiles. The existing sink is mounted into the wall and the two screws have a 15cm distance.
The one I've seen has a 19cm distance between the he two mounting points but it looks like there is a fair bit of flex given the size of the mounting holes.pic below.
I appreciate you'd normally mount in the middle of the mounting hole points but if the sizes are correct here how dodgy is it not to mount in the middle of the mounting holes and to screw it in further towards the edge so I can use the existing mounting points and not have to risk drilling into the tiles again?
Cheers
