Solicitor for land purchase from an Aussie resident

I'm trying to find a solicitor to act for the Australian owner of some UK land that I want to buy.

Sale terms all agreed, my solicitor instructed, but I can't find a UK solicitor willing to act for a non-UK citizen resident outside the UK.

Anyone have any experience of this and maybe a recommendation?

Not sure, but I wonder if the issue is confirming ID as that is done online these days & only certain things are accepted.

I cannot recommend anyone but my instant thought process would be to instruct a cross qualified (AUS-UK) solicitor or practice, who will have a workaround for occasions such as this.

If you are still struggling to resolve - ask the question of the Australian High Commission on The Strand - they are very helpful bunch and will be able to point you in the right direction.
