Unsolicited miss-sold phone calls

Been pestered a couple of times today by a lady trying to get me to sign up for some reclaim process for some alleged financial miss selling.
I don't believe I've ever had finance on a car in the last 25 years or more but she seems to have a record of my phone number, my email address and the make of car I'd have possibly owned about 13 or 14 years ago as well as my postcode from that time.
Where do they get this information? Data protection and all that kind of stuff.
