I'm in the process of buying another 7 to go hillclimbing in, ( previously ran a single seater ). Car is K series powered circa 220bhp.

Will be running in road going but will generally have support car with us on the day and will have a second set of wheels so could have a set with optimum dry tyres and a set with something more suited to roads and good in the wet..?

On that basis what's the best tyre option on current list 1a/1b for each set..

For dry/optimum grip it looks like Nankang AR1 or R888 but not sure which are best or which switch on brst on hills, ( rather than longer trackdays )?

For the wet weather/road tyre Im not sure? Still needs to be a good option for events if weather is damp, wet or really cold etc..

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

What size rims/tyres are you going to be using? It might make a difference to what is suggested.

Good point. 6" and 8" x 13" wheels
