Garage glow up
Discussion
Looking to make the most out of a newly purchased single garage and the first thing I wanted to do was insulate & board the loft, hoping to make use of the space for storage.
Looking at roof webbing, I suspect the trusses(?) are not load-bearing and ill need to add some supports. What is best way to do this? Not looking to put much up there but would like to be able to stand on the boarding when done. Attached longitudinal view of the timbers below.

Looks like my garage too. I floored it with chipboard flooring panels and keep quite a lot of stuff there, though nothing very heavy. That was 20+ years ago and no problems.
I supported the structure a little by bolting a short chunk of horizontal timber onto the breezeblock column on each side so that the horizontal section sits on it. That way it can't sag.
