Exhaut options for 993TT

Well, the one thing I really want to change about my 993 is the way it sounds - its the one thing I am going to miss above all from the Fezza - the noise.

Been doing some research on the net and read about the Techart / Gemballa options etc. When I had the C2, and used to go to Rennlist meets, few of the people there had RSR's on, which sounded great on the n/a cars.

Does anyone here run an aftermarket exhaust on a TT, after something that doesn't sound like those 20inch drainpipes you get on Supra's, something nice and classy - don't want to get the neighbours calling the noise police on me every time I start the car up - any recommendations?

I've got the techart boxes on my car - sounds lovely. Depending on where you are you could always pop down (canterbury way) and have a listen before you part with your cash.

Nothing's ever going to replace the on-cam, aural bliss of that with which you have recently parted but you're quite right to seek an immediate uplift in what otherwise might be James Dyson's idea of sonic perfection.

I think any of the reputable makes will serve you well and the Cargraphic system which has gargled away on mine now, for several years, has been superb.

Have Techart and 100 cell cats on mine, sounds ace when on full chat.

Although the Cargraphic one is said to be superior in design and sound by those in the know I think?

Some have gone for muffler bypass pipes, etc, which give a loud tug boat type sound. Most have found them too much on the daily commute and long journeys and switched back to something less rorty.

I tried the muffler bypasses and loved the sound above 4k, but this is my daily so i don't spend all my time up there, and below 3k it sounds like the Nova i keep seeing around here with a 6" exhaust...

Tried the RSR's too (i had RSR's on both my n/a 993's and loved them) and they sound similar to the muffler bypasses, but quieter (perfect volume actually).

I think i was spoiled by my n/a 993's, and the turbo can never sound that good because of its pair of namesakes.
