Just had my CV8 gearbox stripped as it was getting very notchy. Turns out water was getting in because the boot/ring between the Monkfish Ripshifter and gearbox had degraded. Can get the rebuild kit from The Gearbox. org. But no idea where to source the Ripshifter boot, as apparently it's a different size to the stock one!

Any ideas folks?

All help and advice much appreciated as usual

Cheers

I’ve just bought a white rubber shifter boot from a Malex motor sport in Australia. The cost was about £44.00 including delivery.
I also had a Rip Shifter fitted by Monkfish years ago. I must admit I’ve never heard of a Rip Shifter specific boot before.
The only reason I bought one was because sooner or later the current one will need to be replaced and I’d rather have one ready.
When I think about it I’m sure Roger just reused the original white rubber boot?

Thanks for that. That would make sense to use the same one. I've now found a part number and located them on Ebay. So will order one and see smile
