Taycan Heater Matrix Replacement Reliability
Discussion
Hi all,
I really like the idea of a used Taycan, great value and would quite suite my needs.
The heater issue is the primary concern for me, a friend has a Taycan and an Audi GT and BOTH of these cars are currently undriveable in winter due to failed heaters and a 2 month repair wait with main dealers.
I have heard of multiple heater replacements failing on a single car, perhaps rare?
Anyone have any validated information on replacement heater reliability ie have they solved the problem?
Thanks

No "validated" info, but generally the new heaters seem more reliable than the old.
It's the subject of a recall and I think Porsche extended the warranty on them to 5 or 6 years.
Check if the cars you're looking at have had a replacement. If they have, they should be good (though nothing is 100%).
Taycan forum is much more active than here and has a wealth of info.
