I am moving to Spain from France, and ideally I want a stamp to show my date of entry to Spain. This makes paperwork easier in residency applications.
If I don't get one I have to go around the houses for my Declaration of entry.

So I thought maybe drive into Andorra on my travels down and get a stamp when entering Spain from Andorra. Is that a thing?

Thanks

Phil.

Andorra isn't in the EU and neither is is it in the Schengen zone - so there must be some border control process. Having said that, one of my favourite travel YouTubers posted a video of a drive from Barcelona to Andorra and back via France ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBoaEmuvqg0 ). He did encounter a manned booth entering Andorra from Spain, but wasn't asked to stop (he was in a Spanish hire car), but I suppose that you could stop and ask for a stamp!

Edit - I sort of missed the O/Ps question about going from Andorra into Spain, but there is a snippet in the linked video where the poster drove past the Spanish border are which he said looked as though it wasn't manned.

I went into and out of Andorra on a coach from Barcelona airport - didn't see any officials, just sort of drove through with a brief stop - no stamp in passport (or even checked).

Might be different in a car though.

Interesting. Seems you can request a stamp if you want one.

I went in on a coach and out in a car on a skiing holiday a couple of years ago, no stamps.

We usually do Andorra a couple of times a year and we have never been stopped at the border.

You could possibly pull up at the customs post and ask I guess though.
