How to value a MINI?
Discussion
Potentially thinking of moving on my wife's MINI, but struggling to value it.
As with most F56 models, the specification varies so much that the usual places, WBAC / Motorway, don't seem to adjust for individual options.
Anyone know of any sites that would value a car going on specification rather than just age, model and milage?

It is a Mini, it is neither a specialist or niche car, just go on A/Trader etc & check the specs/age/mileage/model etc to come up with a ball-park figure & then work out what it is worth to you.
You are right about what you say about spec, but from my experience when buying one nobody actually knows what they are selling/buying anyway.

Depends if you mean value for private sale or as a trade in. The latter could be anything and to be honest I dont think optional extras really have a significant effect on either.
The only time optional extras seem to count is if you are comparing absolute basic spec car with something that has the normal stuff like climate, CarPlay/BT and possibly nav although that is now superceded by google or apple maps etc.
Bespoke colours, interior options etc all all very well but they are the original purchasers choice not future owners and I would value them as such. Nice things that might differentiate a car from others when buying but thats about it.

Tried to sell our F56 JCW 18 plate 1 owner low miles etc privately last summer ended up going with motorway as usual clowns contacting and no bites. Was only about 5% down on what I wanted / advertised.
If you can hold of to spring might get better offers
Just curious, what makes you think spring will help car value? If you can hold of to spring might get better offers

Car prices tend to firm up in the spring though to July/August.Personally never seen any evidence of positive price influences when looking over these periods.
My previous 3 cars have been bought in summer after lengthy searches.
