BMW roadside assistance or RAC/AA breakdown cover?

Which one is it better to go for and why? BMW say they only take you to bmw garages whereas RAC/AA can take you anywhere depending on cover. What do you recommend? Car will be under extended warranty
On the face of it, the BMW assist should be seamless - collect you and the car, drop you at your BMW dealer and be booked in for a repair. If the AA pick up and drop off the car at your house, you’ll still have to get the thing from there to the garage to be fixed…
I have the BMW Assist option on my extended warranty (about £7/month more IIRC) as it covers my European jaunts as well.
I find AA and RAC too expensive/restrictive for their European cover (my other cars are now 20+ years old) - and even trying to add it onto my bank account breakdown cover the extra is punitive.
