2020 MINI Electric charge flap won t shut

Hi,
As per the title really, the charging flap on my wife’s MINI won’t stay shut. The spring loaded plunger seems to be the culprit.
The dealer wants £135 and a day just to diagnose it despite me sending what I think is a self explanatory video.
The entire charge socket is only about £70 but I’m a bit nervous about changing it. Anyone done this? There’s a couple of you tube videos but the HV system troubles me a bit
