Anyone else taking part?
My feeders fully loaded and as usual not as many birds as I usually get.

Done it a few times over the years but our feeder is so busy now it would be almost impossible.

33 birds counted but no robin, great tit, goldfinch, jackdaw or magpies which are regular visitors. However a pair of LTTs made an appearance.

Ours was the quietest ever. Probably didn't help that a cat walked all the way along our fence a few minutes before we started. Our neighbour's garden had magpies, starlings and jackdaws, that was about it. We normally get a lot of sparrows because they nest in the houses around here, but they haven't turned up yet.

Merlin claimed to have heard crossbills this morning. Would be a first!

First time visitor to my feeders 2 years ago - a goldfinch, this time I counted 12 of them and they seem to keep the sparrows away. Allso a debut appearance from a greenfinch and a blackcap. Plenty of farmland and meadows nearby so don't tend to see too much variety.

Merlin claimed I had a bittern in my garden. It was in fact a wood pigeon. The app is good at pointing you in the right direction but far from perfect
