Front Door Deadlock.
Discussion
Hi,
We have an issue where sometimes the front door can be locked, unlocked by the key but still won't open.
If you relock and unlock a few times it seems to work eventually.
I took a good look today at the mechanism and it looks like the cuplrit may be a pin in the deadlock bolt itself which can come loose. So it may still prodrude into the mortice when the deadbolt is retracted.
Photo of it normally

Photo of it when pin is juggled out. (This can look like this when the bolt is retracted or out, it jiggles in and out depending on the inertia of the bolt coming in or out.)

Now I can remove that pin entirely, it isn't held in place at all. And all seems to work fine.
I'm just wondering what it's function is at all, there is a 2nd pin in there too. But that seems to be secured.
Thanks.
