Mount TV on Uneven Plasterboard Wall...?
Discussion
I would like to mount a 65” LG G4 TV on a plasterboard wall but I’m running into a few dilemmas.
Other than the very real issue of securing the weight of the TV, the wall is really not very flat at all. The TV is 144cm wide and when a 120cm spirit level is held against the wall there is almost 1cm of gap at the centre point (i.e. the wall is convex). To add to this, on the right hand side the wall is practically vertical but on the left hand side the wall leans back by about 1.2cm over the length of the spirit level.
The issue I’m concerned about is that these LG TVs have a recessed wall bracket and are designed to lay flat against the wall. Am I in for a world of pain if I try to mount the TV on this wall?
Thank You

Put some spacers behind the TV bracket equivalent to bringing it forward enough so that the TV hangs flat to the 'high point' of the wall.
As for the weight, what's behind the plasterboard? Is it a solid brick/block wall where the boarding is fixed with dollops of adhesive (dot-n-dab)? Or do you have a bit of a wonky timber frame?

I think it might be a wonky frame. I initially thought it was dot and dab and was going to use corefix screws but I ran a magnet over the wall and there are random nails all over the wall in no discernible pattern. When I found the first magnetic point I was expecting to see a stud pattern of some kind but it seems completely random. The wall is 208cm wide and about 230cm tall. It is the only non-solid wall in the entire house ironically. As for the weight, what's behind the plasterboard?
