A special F1 birthday card from long ago...
Discussion
When my son was a teenager he had no interest in F1, although I had very good access in those days.
For his 16th birthday I bought a card to an F1 race, and had it signed by three F1 world champions as well as Eddie Jordan who had his team at that time.
He really did not think a lot about ;. I had it framed and it eventually ended up in a storage locker. He completely forgot about it.
In recent years he has developed a real interest in F1 and in track driving; I brought him to the Nürburgring in 2024 with. my 992RS and he has been back by himself several time since that.
Recently I was cleaning out the locker and there among the detritus was the framed F1 birthday card, signed by Jackie Stewart ,Mika Häkkinen and Damon Hill who have six F! word championships among them. Eddie Jordan signed in Gaelic as I am Irish
So, 26 years later I am bringing his birthday card back tomorrow him this week.....

Happy it survived.

I got a birthday card for my FiL signed by Stirling Moss a few years ago, he cherished it for some time, sadly it was lost when their house burned down and he died soon after. Nice that you were able to find this and get it displayed for your son.
That's awful geeks - sorry for your loss. Petrus1983 said:

My sympathy on that, but very good that he got to experience the thrill of getting such a special gift.geeks said:
Thanks, it was a few years ago as I say. Thread was a nice reminder though of some happy memories, getting to meet SM was a pleasure and my FiL showed everyone who came over his special birthday card that he proudly displayed. He passed when he was 86 so not a terrible innings, we should all be so lucky
Of that generation I've met Stirling and Jackie - I must have met JS on a bad day but Stirling at Goodwood was an absolute delight.
