VW ID7 or Skoda Superb IV
Discussion
Hi There.
The time has come to start thinking about replacing my company car which is due back in June and due to have 1 child already and a second on the way I require an Estate Car.
I have narrowed my choice down to either the Skoda Superb IV Sportline Estate or the VW ID7 Pro S Tourer which is where I have become rather stuck.
The budget I have from work would allow me to get the ID7 Pro S, but without the exterior or interior packs, and just the standard wheels. I could contribute an additional £120 a month to include both packs and the Pan Roof but I'm not sure its worth it.
I also have a 7.4kw charger at home which was installed when the house was built and the BIK for the ID7 is also very low.
Alternatively I also quite like the Skoda Superb IV and the budget would stretch to the Sportline, with a panoramic roof and the family pack. The BIK isn't quite as good and as I do a lot of motorway miles once the battery is empty perhaps the car won't be as economical?
For information I do approx. 20 to 25k miles a year.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The ID7 performs very well in Teslabjorns tests. I’d imagine the standard wheels would help the range a bit as well.
I’m looking at swapping out of my ID Buzz and the ID7 is on the list. I don’t know how many miles the Superb does on battery, 70 being the magic number to get the lower BiK.

What actually is the bik difference? That's a factor in the decision as to which is best I imagine?
Are there any other EV's on the list that are estate, or more likely these days, SUV? The ID7 is a nice car but brands other than VW offer more interest and value from a driver's perspective imo.

Id7 would be my choice
The ID7 is 5% bik for 2026 and will cost you about £800 a year, the superb will be £1400 or so so not a great difference but I just prefer how a electric car drives
Plus you can make good money with fuel repayment, I charge my EV for 7p a kw, which gets me 3 miles of range and then claim it back from work at 12p a mile so I make about £2000 a year back, which you wouldn’t get with a petrol superb
They’re essentially the same car though

Why are you looking to get out of the buzz? Time up or some issue with the car?
No real issues other than the winter range not bring great. I’ve an older 2023 Buzz with no heat pump and the smaller battery. Two and a half years in and 28k miles but fancy a change. Why are you looking to get out of the buzz? Time up or some issue with the car?
