Disposing of an old BMW
Discussion
I have a May 1999 E36 318is in Techno Violet with M Sport pack and 73k miles which I'm looking to offload.
It's been sat in the garage for two years with no tax or MOT but it now needs to go. I've owned it since July 1999 and it has great sentimental value, so I'd prefer it to go where it would be appreciated, even if that's just a BMW breaker who sells parts to enthusiasts, rather than a generic breaker who might just crush it.
I've tried Quarry Motors in Sheffield (a BMW specialist) but they tell me they're full. There's a recycler recommended by BMW but they get dreadful reviews - basically just not turning up to collect cars. There's Cartakeback but they look like a generic recycler.
I need to let it go promptly and can provide a PDF document with photos, details of the spec and all the car's issues.
Any ideas?

It's been off the road for two years because one of the rear trailing arm pockets failed due to corrosion. In theory, fix that, MOT it, tax, it and you're back on the road, albeit in a rather shabby but nicely specced car.
However...
There is loads of bodywork corrosion - typical E36 - and you'd probably have to throw north of £10k at it to make it tidy... or getting on for £20k to make it really nice.
If I win the lottery before it goes I'll keep it and send it to Classic Bahnstormers for a full resto. Otherwise it needs to go to someone who can afford to have it restored... or has the space and skills to make a long term project of it... or a breaker, preferably one who sells the parts to BMW enthusiasts who want to keep similar cars alive.
I have a great deal of sentiment for the car and would like it to live on in some shape or form.
