Hi all,

My lad is seriously getting in to his karting and it’s time for a logo to be made from his initials. I could do it in Word or paint but wondered if there is any windows app that is free and ideal for the task.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Ask ai, such as chatgpt. be clear what you want and you can refine it iteratively by clarifying things you want changed..

That will be a last resort. I like to create things myself to be honest, it would also be a little bit, no a lot, more personal.

I used to use GimpShop in the past, just wondered if there is anything better these days?

Have a look at Canva. Lots of templates and you can do a bit of tweaking and changing.

I have used PowerPoint in the past for doing things like this for my wife's business.

Although I would now use AI. Still have creative control but none of the technical hassles.....

It depends on how you want to be hands on.

Inkscape is foc and is a good vector editor an equivalent to Adobe Illustrator.

Gimp might also help.

Both have lots of guides on youtube.
