New screen fitted, it leaked, electrics playing up
Discussion
Okay so new screen fitted a couple of days ago by national outfit via my insurance. Noticed over weekend while driving in the rain, a running water sound behind the dash (looked and no obvious damp at the time). I have called them out to do an inspection and refit asap (thursday). However went to move the car earlier and I have lost the exterior lights on the left side of the car (albeit front headlight doing disco flashing). A quick poke around the footwell and where the main loom junction is and the BCM is all rather damp. How is this one going to play out, will call them again first thing to report the latest find, and I suppose in my favour the thing passed its MOT with no issues 2 days prior to the screen being done so it was not an existing fault. Are they going to surprise me and all will be resolved or am I in for a world of pain?

No one knows. Report back after Thursday.I had a screen fitted on insurance that failed due to manufacturing defect.
no leaks the glass just randomly cracked in one corner about 12 hours after it was fitted
The window company were quick to rectify the issue and a "head inspector" was apparently sent to look at the original one that failed before it was removed to ensure it was fitted properly.

Alarm bells went off when the first fitter said he wondered why so much glue was used on the glass he took out as he didn't use as much to fit the new one. Glass coming out was factory glass. Water is in the BCM, going to double check the sunroof drains but this all happened day after the screen was fitted so don't think it is unrelated.
Had a quick poke about, windscreen scuttle is not fitted correctly and not all going down the drain pipe on the drivers side, sunroof drain is okay and clean as I do rod then out with strimmer wire every service and there is a big loom plug and BCM, both of which are getting water dripping onto them right now. NSF headlight levelling motor is currently having a fit too, with ignition off that shouldn't be live. Lots of photos taken, off to call the screen peeps now.

I can recommend precision.garage on the bay for a BCM reflash. Did mine and returned the day he got it for 30 odd quid. Worked first time despite several months water ingress.

Modern screens are bonded on so it s really unlikely the screen is leaking.
Oh, but they do. Especially when slapped in by some of the glass banshees I m sure Glassman will be along shortly to give his usual balanced and useful input.
Scuttle panel is about 25mm towards the centre of the car on the drivers side
Correctly fitted passenger side

incorrectly fitted drivers side

So the scuttle is not draining into the drain chute that goes into the inner wing.
Anything on the bottom of the a pillar, including major loom plug and BCM is soaked
