Can you keep politics out of football?
Discussion
Should you?
I was reading the latest about Infantino.
I just don't like the guy. Some of his decisions lately have been appalling but there will obviously be a lot more going on behind the scenes than we know affecting policy.
Some argue that politics has no place in football but I think the sports too big for it not to be a factor.
Thoughts?

Anything that FIFA does is to line the pockets of those at the top. It makes Russia, or the current US administration, or any tinpot dictatorship in Africa, or the Middle East, look like shining beacons of transparency and democracy in comparison.
That’s it really. It’s all about the money and nothing else matters.

He's a proper wrong'un IMO. Straight out of the old guard mold. I'm surprised there isn't more out there about him.
It's a shame after the Blatter/Platini era that FIFA seem to have gone backwards if anything.
He's not out of place in the company of the likes of Putin and Trump.
It will be interesting to see how quickly he can get Russia back into the fold.
