Pocketable lightweight lighting options?

Whenever I go abroad many times at night there isn't enough lighting to take decent photos (mostly with a phone). So I end up using 1-2 other peoples phone torches as additional lighting/key lighting.
Does anyone have any ideas for small/lightweight lighting options that I could take with me to add additional light without having to use the phones flash, or even maybe the flash on my fuji x20.
a light source that's phone-sized, smaller the better, bright but not a focused/tight light. rechargeable, LED, but not something that's basically the same as the tiny LED 'torch' light you get on a smartphone.
Pretty much something I can pull out my pocket, switch on and move around to adjust the light source.
