Was moving some wood this morning and noticed this butterfly, anyone help identify it?

Difficult with wings closed but Peacock would be my guess.

Could be as it does look darker than the picture looks in real life!

Managed to gentle open the wings and does look very much like a peacock.

I had a few of those in my garage a year or two ago. They seem to hibernate.

All the butterflies in that family hibernate. The closed wings are supposed to mimic dead leaves for camouflage
