Probably get removed next time a mod logs in.
I read the email they sent saying they’d removed it. There was a link to the R&R of posting and I couldn’t find one single reason as to why it was removed. Perhaps they could tell us mere mortals as to why it was. I won’t hold my breath

Let s get the ball rolling.
About 2/3 of the way through that episode currently, some nice cars they have picked up there, especially the 205. I’d have snapped the sellers hand off too for the 996, would have made a decent project and although it’s everything I wouldn’t want in a 996 for the price it’s still worth a go.
The latest TDC video, in which they buy their videographer Ben a new car, was lovely.
It demonstrated how frustrating the buying process can be, and how so many sellers are dodgy.
His reaction when they revealed it seemed very genuine.

Reckon thats all cars or is this specific to certain cars like the car they chose? It demonstrated how frustrating the buying process can be, and how so many sellers are dodgy.

TDC and All The Gear are my favourite channels to watch on Youtube (alongside Cleetus), they just seem very genuine and you can tell they're properly passionate about cars. Humour is brilliant too!
AutoAlex is good but all the giggling gets annoying after a while. Wish they'd give it up with the s
t Land Rovers/Range Rovers too, it's been done to death.
C.R.E.A.M podcast with the TDC boys is also a must watch/listen! Creaming ever Thursday

TDC do exactly the content I enjoy, they vary it enough that it keeps me interested and I think its because they have genuine enthusiasm and they do explain what they are doing and why. I would watch twice as often and still be interested.AutoAlex is good but all the giggling gets annoying after a while. Wish they'd give it up with the s

We needed AA to get these two but out of the three it is the one I can give a miss, I have no problem with the presenters I just feel like TDC do what they do better on the oily bits (as in what to watch, i couldn't comment on competence) and all the gear are better on the road trips....
Lets be frank he is known for buying anyone's rubbish. They have so many cars looking at the lot and don't forget they also have storage elsewhere! Must be hard to sell them as they are not the best quality in the first place.
I'd have had that 996 and changed the interior job done. As for just buying that £1k mustang for the sake of it seemed stupid - it then cost £4k plus then the rebuild. Rory shouldn't be trusted with money - just look at his car history.

I have only watched about a third of this video so far, but why did the seller effectively give those cars away? Surely that 911 would be worth three times that in parts alone?
The 205 Gti for £4k, I would have given him more than that for it.
Just doesn't make any sense
I can only hazard a guess that he has no clue on cars and it is some sort of deceased estate that he just wants rid of. The market is also on its knees at the moment. You only have to look at auctions to see cars are not selling for what people want. The bubble from covid is coming down to more reasonable pre pandemic levels. The 205 Gti for £4k, I would have given him more than that for it.

The 911 looks quite cheap but once you factor in that it is a convertible, automatic and the work that needs doing. There is one in a identical colour with a hardtop for 10k on auto trader right now.
From the video you can see there were a few issues with the car. It will need new tyres at least which will be around a grand, new interior will be close to 2k, Full engine/gearbox/diff service with belts etc will be another grand, all the little issues like replacing the rear lights, sorting out the hood and brakes will be another grand.
That takes you to 6.5k and that is only the stuff you can see from the video. Once you start to drive it I am sure other bits and bobs will need doing. Then you have the IMS and possibility of bore scoring to look into. To have it properly sorted you are getting towards 5 figures.
At that price point I could list plenty of other convertibles I would rather have. One of them being a 987 Boxster.

I was intrigued to know what the business was I think there was a sign in the background at one bit, but forgot to look it up. I guess it was winding down and some of them were personal and projects.
To be honest I think AA and associates are in the same boat (no pun intended) as that firm/collector. They have a lot of cars which they aren't really setup to move on at retail prices due to time, effort and potently dealing with aftercare or issues. So most of theirs just sit or if they need to be sold it will likely be into the trade at a low price, to mates with no comebacks, or scrapped. Just like at Car Throttle.

They mentioned on the podcast that it was a restoration business that had gone under. I believe that's why the Corrado is blurred out, it's in remarkably good (brand new, just restored) condition.
A £4K Mustang is a steal, even if the resto costs a lot (it was shown running and driving later in the video so can't have been that bad).
Agree that the Pug, Porsche, Golf and Bedford were steals. I'm very jealous but good on him.
