All of a sudden the back of the car is dropping Mercedes E350 CDI 2010 S212).

I have found that one of the air pipes from the compressor has a small leak-I have sprayed with soap and its clear where its coming from.
Would any sort of tape be a temporary repair until I can fix it properly in the next day or 2?

Thanks!

Can't imagine tape will work. Can you find a Norauto or Feu Vert type shop nearby or even a decent size hypermarket that might have a suitable plastic inline connector on the shelf?

The only quick repair that stands any chance is to cut the hose at the leak and insert a joining piece to reconnext the two sides. This will only be practical if the hose is generally in good condition and you have reasonable access to the section that's leaking. It's the sort of thing that any local garage should be able to do for you. Otherwise you'll need to replace the whole hose, which is likely to be a bigger job.

You are right, tape no good at all!

Can it be driven to the garage like it is?

No it needs recovering, you d likely get stopped by Traffico if seen, plus it’ll probably knacker the compressor, I’d call your breakdown cover and get recovered, it’s a simple fix but I’’d wager you won’t be able to get any parts until Monday unless the Chinese supermarkets have the push fit connectors (some do carry microbore connectors for water pipes)
