Evora na. Brilliant. Less is more !

Love this 2010 Evora na. Delectable feel and balance, 280 bhp quick enough. Manual car with close ratio gearbox and sports pack. Sounds ace. Understressed, musical engine, relatively simple mechanics. So much more versatile, in terms of it's overall capabilities, than the hard-core Elise/Exige, with real GT ability in respect of luggage capacity and refinement. Truly a wonderful little car, that sits well with my McLaren 12C

Really love it. Had been away from proper sports cars for a while, and had more exotic stuff years ago, Lotus and otherwise. I really do think the Evora na ticks so many boxes. A truly lovely little car. The more powerful and exotic versions are also wonderful, of course, but at their price range compete with cars at a different level . Life is a balance, and for me the na gets it right. Double the budget, the relevant Evora probably still does, but competition getting tougher...For me, often raved about comparative cars such as the A110 Alpine and (immeasurably) pretty Alfa 4C full down at their price level due to 4 cylinder motors..

280bhp is absolutely plenty on todays roads. One thing I enjoyed about mine (with the longer box) was you could rev it out and not have to worry about hitting warp speed in 2 seconds. The longer box also meant it was brilliant for distance driving - closer box was better for the B-roads though.
Worth looking at upgrading the linkage if it's not been done already, the gearchange is probably the cars only real weakness.

Cheers Matty,
It has got a very good history and clearly well loved..
Gear change is excellent and only enhances the overall dynamics. It's a brilliant thing
I have had many more powerful, perhaps exotic cars, but it's overall balance of attributes, as a sports car, takes a lot of beating, certainly at a certain price level. They are just beautifully engineered
A little gem

Great cars - I’m on my 4th NA, I’ve had a 400 too, which was sublime but has different competitors as you’ve said.
The NA (mine is a Launch Edition) is peerless when it comes to nailing that elusive combination of sublime steering feel, ride quality, handling and feedback.
I’ve had several Porsches in the last few years (987’s and 981’s) and they cannot hold a candle to a well sorted Evora - this is the second time I’ve sold a Porsche to return to the massively rewarding Evora.
I’m currently working my way through mine to make it even better than when it left the factory.
Special cars 👌🏻

DaveB, your car's twin sister (and your old car) has just come out of hibernation! I see you missed it so much you got another one and the same colours!
Let me encourage you to document the improvements just as you did last time.
(For the Evora fans out there: this is my fifth Evora, and I too think NA S1 is the sweetest . . . albeit (oddly) I prefer an IPS.)

I'd love to daily one.
