My lovely Zenith A384 Revival is less than 3 months old but sadly there must be some failed gasket as the crystal keeps fogging up when I put it on my wrist. I'm always careful not to use it near water.

As it was bought overseas, I will have to rely on the international warranty and get it fixed through an accredited repairer, rather than take it to a UK retailer.

I see on Steven Hale's website that they are accredited by Zenith - anyone used them? Feedback, good or otherwise, would be much appreciated.

No 1st hand anecdote but they are VERY well thought of by some well-respected (whatever that means) mates in the vintage world (generally Rolex and Tudor) and all their watches go through SHWR!

Thanks Dom. I've contacted them but heard nothing back, and in the meantime Zenith have got back in touch with me and advised I should take it to an authorised reseller (like Bucherer or WoS) for onward posting to the UK service centre for assessment.

Shame really, because (as with car maintenance) I tend to prefer using independent specialists.

That's annoying about the fogging - hopefully no damage has been done.

You should probably bite the bullet and get it seen by their recommended UK service centre, it's a really nice watch and it's under warranty.

I had an Omega stop not long after purchase (new from an Omega boutique) and the turnaround was only 2 weeks - maybe Zenith get a move on too with new watches? Hope so.

Amazing that they turned it around in 2 weeks!

Here's hoping...

Your outcome may be better than mine if they end up sending it LMVH Manchester. I don't rate the service centre at all but that was my experience from years ago.

That's my concern. Same with cars. With something like a Porsche indie, one can at least sit with them, understand the problem and find a solution. With official Porsche centres, your car disappears into a warehouse with the promise it's being worked on by "Top Men".

Just to close this out, Steven Hale responded today and said they are unable to repair Zenith (they are Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer and Cartier accredited) which is weird because their website says "SHWR are approved Zenith watch repairers. Our work is fully endorsed and maintains the original manufacturer’s guarantee."

So Manchester service centre it is then...

That's really odd!
I would get back in touch with SHWR and make a point of what is written on their website.
