Hi g32turbo,
Thank you for the reply.
I use the same wheel and tire sizes on my car. What are the make/model of the tires you use? I have Fulda's on my car (they came with the car) but don't feel they are very grippy.
Also what pressures do you use front and rear?
What's the ride height on your car?
Regards
PS : sorry for my poor english ;-)
I notice you have both S2 and S3 G27's. The information I gave you for wheel offsets might be wrong if the cars have Triumph front hubs. If the car has Ford hubs then its an ET30 offset both front and rear. If you have Triumph front hubs then you need ET30 rear and ET10 front. You can get around this problem by fitting ET30 all around but fit 19mm solid spacers at the front.
Factory stated tyre pressures are 20 psi front 15 psi rear but you need to play around a bit to find what suits you best.
Tyres are a matter of personal choice and how much you want to pay. I've found Yokohamas to be very good in the dry but a bit slippy in the wet. In the UK a very popular tyre at the moment is called Stunner which are hard wearing grippy and not too expensive.

Oops! forgot to mention ride height.
Set the front spring base height so the bottom wishbones are parallel with the ground when viewed from the front of the car. Adjust the rear spring base to make the chassis parallel with the ground when viewed from the side. Drive the car with a passenger roughly the same weight as yourself and check that the rear tyres dont scrub the wheel arches when cornering hard. If they do raise the spring height a bit.

just another question ...
Do you know from what Ford model comes the steering column on the G27 S2 ? Cortina? Escort? Capri? ...?
I have to order a steering wheel boss for my S2 and do not know which one to choose.
Is there a way to find out what steering column I have ... hidden part number perhaps ?
Thanks
