Can anyone confirm this is in fact really really dark grey?
I'm after a very dark grey metallic (ie literally just off black) for the Griff, and Carbon Black is looking good, if so.

Cheers, Ben.

Carbon Black is black - in some light it looks as though it has a blue/purple taint to it. Think of black carbon paper, i.e. the stuff used in old typewriters and some invoice books, and you won't be far away.

Have a look at my car in the classifieds, it's carbon black

It's black with a blueish touch in certain light conditions whereas Sapphire Black is black black, despite the fact that the names would suggest they are the other way round.

B*gger - but thanks for the enlightening replies. It looks a gorgeous colour, but not what I'm after... Thanks.

Certainly does the Tuscan justice - but is that a greenish flip in it? I want to avoid flip / pearl to keep costs down. Just a straight graphite metallic is what I'm after. Guess I'll be trawling the dealers at the weekend!

BMW did E30 M3s (1985 - 1991) in a very dark grey metallic - fairly flat colour without any flips. Can't remember what it's called but a trip to your nearest dealer should be able to get you the paint code.
