Quite an interesting little read, and one that, for me, does invoke some deep thinking.

He s largely condemned by the usual figures as well as various Manchester United fan clubs.

Ed Davey said he is totally out of step with British values.

Is he saying things as they are?
Is he saying what a proportion of the voting public think (i.e., Reform fans)?

Or, is he wildly out of touch with the general consenus of UK population?

Bit of both is most likely.

Rather like his erstwhile Defender that’s made in France.

"The UK has been colonised by immigrants, really, hasn't it? I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it's 70 million. That's 12 million people."

Well his whole bigoted rant is based on a lie.

Wibble - a bit like his rant

Over 75% of people living in Monaco are immigrants.

I suspect he likely meant 2000 (the numbers would then stack up)

His figures may have been correct if he did, his use of the word colonised still wouldn’t be.

Over 75% of people living in Monaco are immigrants.
The big difference is that the immigrants to Monaco bring wealth with them where as the immigrants to the U.K. in general suck money out of the country.

He moved to Monaco to save paying approximately £4bn in tax, hows that for sucking money out of the country?

The numbers and evocative words will be picked over as per, but I doubt anyone who can see the wood beyond those trees will argue the more substantive point.

Whilst his comments on immigration are way too strong imo, his point about not being able to have a functioning economy with so many dependant on the state is bang on.

And Monaco genuinely is a country that is full, unlike the UK. People born there are having to leave the country. The wealthy are not taking money in that is helping the local economy, they are taking money in that is helping them, the only people that can afford to live their.

Then he should pay all of his workers a living wage and stop siphoning vast amounts of money out of the country.

There is no such thing as a 'living wage'. Entirely dependant on circumstances which an employer isn't aware of.

He's not 'siphoning vast amounts of money' out of the country. He's following laws to minimise his tax bill, just like anyone is expected to. People just throw their toys out the pram when someone decides that the balance of cost/benefit in the UK isn't there so move.

2manycars did exactly the same, as was lauded on his thread on here...
