Throttle Position Sensor Alternative

I've added a post to that thread showing my install of this hall-effect TPS kit from Mike (phillpot).
I'm very pleased with it, feels like a quality upgrade, and a lovely peace of mind for something that gets a lot of use in the engine operation - this should far outlast the carbon track original.

I have successfully installed a Jenvey TP3-C Hall Effect TPS sensor to replace the Colvern that was installed in the ACT Carbon Fibre Twin Plenum. As I run MS3X (Megasquirt) calibrating it was not an issue. In my setup it is rock solid and removed any issue with interference from the BOSCH 3 wire PWM. The only negative I guess is the cost.
I have to report back on my experience, and it might just be a foible of my car, as I have no other means of cross checking.
I realised the Penny Giles hall effect sensor wasn't working well for me.
There were two traits - the first that it seemed to create a delay in the ECU responding with fuel, so I was finding that a quick opening on the throttle caused the engine to almost stall for half a second then leap into life.
The second that it wasn't giving the ECU a consistent reading.
I was tracking it on Rovergauge, and it would go into what seemed to be a fault mode where the software would read 11% TPS position no matter what I did, moving the throttle butterfly with engine on and off, then it would come back and give a reading, but it was intermittent.
I believe Paul Down has not had this experience, so it might just be a feature of how I wired it.
The only difference was where I was sourcing the 12V input - I chose to connect it via the coil, whereas he cut into the 12V on injector 1.
This might have made a difference, but I can't see why.
Anyway, I decided to revert to the original TPS that behaves impeccably.
