Heathrow T3 to T5 transit time?
Discussion
In April I am looking at arriving at LHR T3 at 10.20am from the US, then immediately catching a BA flight to Athens from T5 at 1.05pm.
Its just me travelling, I have a UK passport for UK immigration and I'll have one checked bag.
Do you think that's sufficient time to get the Athens flight? I think it'll be close but doable.

Assuming it's separate bookings?
If your first flight is on time then it'll be plenty of time. Just don't hang around getting off the first flight, and get through the passport gates and get out to the bus or tube to transfer.
I normally just turn up to T5 for BA long haul flights with bags to check with 90-60 mins before scheduled departure.

That’s loads of time. Last week I landed at T3 having parked at T5.
I was on the M25 exactly 30 minutes after the doors opened on the arriving flight at T3.
That included the walk in T3 (about as far as it could be), passport etc, the Elizabeth line to T5 and in that case getting to the car in short stay and exiting the car park etc.
No checked bag in my case, but I’d estimate you’ll still have time for a swift half in T5 after security

Plenty of time assuming your inbound is on time. Check in at T5 seldom takes more than a few minutes. Its just me travelling, I have a UK passport for UK immigration and I'll have one checked bag.

Not sure why people are saying use the tube, there is an airside transit bus that takes you between the terminals without having to go out of the airport. When you get off the plan, follow the signs for connections (you will need to show the boarding pass for the next flight, but it doesn't have to be on one ticket). You will then see signs for T5, you go downstairs and get a bus that will take you over to T5.
As has been said, assuming you inbound is on time (generally US inbounds seem to be early) than you have plenty of time.

I would check with both airlines and see whether you actually need to enter the country or whether you can transfer airside.
Seperate bookings - he'll be self connecting. Can't transfer airside.Re Tubes - above - that was very unlucky - we use the tube between terminals at least twice a year (we stay in T4 Permiere in but rarely fly out of T4) - only real wait was getting the 5am tube - as it was the very 1st one!

Unlucky for both Piccadilly and Elizabeth lines to be down. I normally would head for the Elizabeth Line to transfer, because you can get either the Elizabeth Line or the Paddington/Heathrow Express, whichever comes first, and both are free. So is the Piccadilly line free.
Officially there's a piccadilly line train every 10 mins and an Elizabeth Line/ Padd Express every 15, but in practice I find the Piccadilly Line is more flakey.
Either way, you should have plenty of time.
