Possible scam ?
Discussion
I watch a lot of videos done by Heavy D and his crew ,mostly recovery of large machines in remote places and also a lot of the surplus auction lots and premises clearances . These are on YouTube with a link to Facebook page. I sometimes comment on his content and have acknowledgements from him .
He does giveaways of stuff from his sponsors ,all sorts of stuff including vehicles.
He contacted me via messenger asking for my views on his content and how long I had been following him . After a while I received a notification to choose one of four boxes to see if I had won a giveaway prize . I chose box 4 . About ten minutes later I was informed that I had won a Ford F150 Raptor truck ! They asked for my details ,location etc and if I was OK with being published on his site as a winner . I asked about the method of receiving the vehicle . I was told they would pay shipping but import duty and fees and taxes etc would be down to me . The base model of the truck is $80,000 so the duty etc is going to be £000s . So I told them to donate it to charities for the needy . I was then told abruptly that I was disqualified from the competition.
Have I slipped up or had a lucky escape?
I couldn't afford all the fees and would only have sold the thing as it would be totally impractical for me due to age ,mobility and medical issues.

It has all the hallmarks of a scam.
The choosing of 4 boxes is to make you think that there is a possibility for you not to win, hence it can't be a scam.
The disqualification is so that you then go back and beg for them to reinstate your win, at which point you hand over money I'm advance for shipping fees/duty etc.
I assume it is just some random account on Facebook that has contacted you posing as ""Heavywhatshisface".
