Vauxhall Corsa diesel fuel pump dilema
Discussion
Ive got a 2008 Corsa 1.3 cdti diesel and i recently ordered a reconditioned fuel pump to replace the original (Bosch CP1) which is leaking.
The main fuel feed pipe and the return pipe that fit on the original pump have banjo fittings where they attach to the pump, but on the replacement pump i was suprised to find that the holes where i was expecting to fasten the banjo bolts are unthreaded.
To save the time and inconvenience of returning the pump to the seller can anyone tell me what fittings/adaptors i would need so that i could remove the banjos from the fuel and return pipes and fit to the pipes and pump?

Phone the supplier.
It may be that the holes self thread when the banjo bolts go in.
Or it may be incorrectly manufactured.
I wouldn`t try and bodge it as if it goes wrong you`d almost certainly invalidate any warranty on the pump.
The holes have a slightly wider diameter than the bolts and the threads of the banjo bolt wouldnt be hard enough to cut into the steel body of the pump in any case.It may be that the holes self thread when the banjo bolts go in.

I dont think its a manufacturing fault as this pump was used on many different engines and it seems to me that there maybe more than one slight variation of the same pump and the one i have recieved has been previously used on a vehicle which had some sort of push in conectors on the pipes.
Jakg - a seal kit would be too fiddly and more time consuming than swapping the pumps
