VW Amarok water in passenger footwell
Discussion
Hi, I'm new here and hoping to find some advice or guidance. I recently purchased a 2019 Amarok. In the last week, I have had some water in the passenger footwell. I have ruled out the air conditioning system and, from what I can tell, the scuttle panel is working as it should - water is flowing out freely through a single large drain in the centre of the scuttle. I haven't removed the scuttle panel completely to inspect underneath at this stage since there doesn't appear to be a problem with it and to do so would involve removing the wipers. Has anyone got any experience of a problem like this? I have read that some cars suffer from water tracking in through wiring grommets but can't see any obvious offenders. Thanks.

Original windscreen still fitted?
Yes, still has the original windscreen. The water ingress is minimal at the moment - it appears to be coming from behind the glovebox area, biased to the nearside of the footwell. The single scuttle drain is centred on this model, so I suppose there is a chance that some debris has built up towards the left wing of the truck, but from my own testing that seems unlikely.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
