After some help if possible please

I have a strange noise that emanates from the passenger footwell area

Sounds like a rattle - then a creak only on uneven road surfaces etc

I have had the car mechanically checked suspension / brakes / steering rack etc and all is solid no issue

I’m convinced it’s inside the car up behind dash could it be something loose / rubbing and amplifying through

Or could it be something under the wiper scuttle panel frunk side

Anyone had this before that could point me in the right direction please before I have to be like a contortionist and lay in the footwell under the dash 😩

Everything works and the noise doesn’t change when adjusting air controls etc so eliminates that I guess unless it’s the housing that’s loose

Any help / direction / experiences of the same appreciated 👍

Loose wiper motor or linkage.

Source of these noises can be misleading. The best method is to go out with a mate and have him/her move their head around and start touching things. Don't eliminate reflected sources, door trim, or rear bulk head. Battery mounting hardware is a common one; if it is confirmed to be in the footwell, then it could be the fender liners.

Sounds like ARB bushes or ball joints to me.

I thought the same about ARB bush (answered on another forum) but when mine went it only made a noise when the car was warm with warm air passing over the bush causing it make some noise. Agree about balljoints though, they can sound as if the knock is in the dash somewhere and my point was that even if the sound appears to come from one area the cause may be somewhere else in the car. OP needs to get someone to sit upside down with his head in the footwell!

I had this on my 458 - for me the problem was traced to a stone stuck in the spring.
