I'd encourage as many people to go as possible.

Stength in number etc.. and the more people there are representing our particular take on things, the better for us.

It's still a small voluntary organisation - If you don't get involved, you really can't complain that they're not helping you!

When is it? Where is it?

I've just sent my ABD application form off , but can't see a meeting mentioned on their (sorry, our) site.

Whilst I was in revolutionary mode, I thought I would fire off a state-of-London-traffic fax to my MP. Thought I should do some research first to fathom angles, how does he think, what are his issues etc etc.

He's only a bloody close mate of Red Ken.....FCUK. Spent his maiden Commons speech praising him....FCUK

Don't think I'll bother now, waste of time

Well, someone chucked out my copy of OTR from last month.. but I'm bloody sure that it's 23rd Nov, Gaydon Motor Museum..

I'm annoyed to say the least that details are not to be found on the bloody website..

They *really* need to sort that thing out.

Hi guys

11.00am Saturday 23rd November

at The Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon. (Signposted from Junction 12 of the M40)

www.heritage.org.uk

Identify yourself as an ABD member and you don't have to pay to get in (As you're going to the meeting I guess).

What are the odds on the Police setting up a speed trap outside the venue?

Right.

Even though England are playing rugby, I'm going to forego my reserved bar stool at the pub and attend this, my first ABD meeting.

I'll be travelling from Bristol with 3 spare seats anyone need a lift.

Carl I'm definitely up for an hour in a pub, but I'll need to stick to soft drinks.

Equally, I'll be going up from Basingstoke with spare seats if anyone wants the crap scared out of them for 3 or 4 hours on that Saturday

edit: Cheers for clarifying the info, Daz - see you there!

Well since I only live 20 mins away from Gaydon, I guess I should come. Do you have to be a member? What I suppose I'm asking is 'do I need to get my finger out in the near future and do some enrolment stuff?'

Probably, but since I and most others have joint membership with partners, who aren't attending, I doubt too many questions would be asked if you went in with one of us who are brandishing membership cards..

And if you're then inspired to cough up yer £20 and join, all well and good...

These guys are trying to protect our interests and they need our resources, knowledge and time to help the fight.

Edited to say: mmm Beef

Well you have to come now RudeGirl! Local knowledge is what we're looking for

Oh and you have to bring your hockey stick and enough money for about 10 pints and a taxi home

10 pints = not too bad round here, if you're buying the food. It's a deal, but limited to 10, OK? (I saw what happened to Ocean1 at the Warwick Meet - offered free beer and ended up with a second mortgage)

If I get a lift there, I guess you will run me home, right? I'm expecting the TVR to be seatless by then (retrimming), and you wouldn't want me to turn up in a Toyota Avensis, would you? (cringes at the amount of flack I'm going to get for driving a Company Avensis)

btw, where would you like me to put my hockey stick? And which way round? Anyone bringing a camera?

Yeah - instead you can be ferried home in a Primera which after today's debacle now has more dented than straight panels. Up to you though

Hold that thought - I'm hoping to drum up wider support for the gathering on the back of your proposed exhibitionism

Anyone bringing a camera?
Sky One said they'd send some: Gaydon Uncovered - When British Drivers Attack.. ... .. lager.. ..
