feedback from Xero users who link it to selling platforms?

Im hoping I can gain some genuine feedback on something that has been suggested to me to save some money on accountancy fees.

My current accountant is charging us far more than other local competitors are quoting. 14 years of loyalty seems to have gone against us with new quotes being about a quarter/ third of what we are paying.


Ive been to see two new accountants with 1 of them suggesting to use technology to our advantage to not only save me time , but also to save them time too. The other one is happy to input into Xero manually which still saves us a chunk.

I sell on Amazon FBA , Ebay, Tiktok, Cosmetify , and have our own website. Plus a physical shop.

It seems we can link the selling platforms to Xero using a few different Apps but its hard to gauge whether this works in the real world. Does anyone have a similar set up and can pass comment?

Cosmetify - unlikely to be linked but sales filter to website

I have to use linkmybooks to link xero to amazon and ebay.

Works out around another another £40 on top of xero.

There are a few apps but yes if you are paying someone to do the legwork work the apps should pay for themselves.

How is it? Reliable?

Seems to work although im not particularly happy about paying for something extra that should be included with Xero.

I just set it up and only really interface with Xero when im sending an invoice to a customer or doing a VAT return each quarter.

I agree that Xero should link without the middleman too. Its good that it works without having to constantly be monitoring it.

Currently our cost is for accountants £550 plus £42 for Xero.


The proposed new method would be £150 plus Xero , plus whatever link we need so still a substantial saving.
