A number of deer visit our back garden occasionally, we notice one poor creature that's had a distressing injury for a few weeks, it's getting nastier everytime we see her [him?]. It is still mobile, it's eating OK, but it's hobbling badly and won't put any weight on it.
Is this the type of thing the RSPCA or other animal charities will be keen to intervene on, or has nature to takes its course ?

RSPCA might help. I’d look for a local wildlife rescue, there are a few round here, often they will just come and put the poor thing out its misery and leave it in a ditch for other animals to eat but at least it won’t be in pain any more

As above you can try RSPCA otherwise if you don't have a gun call a local farmer to dispatch it .
