Got in the Tuscan today and drove off as per usual - started to be a real effort to change gear then noticed oil light flickering. Returned home straight away to notice oil where my car had been parked.
I'm presuming that I've had a leak (think I hit a speedbump last weekend)and where the engine was getting hotter all the components were expanding making it harder to select a gear?
Anyone shed some light on this?
Also if this is the case have I screwed the engine/gearbox up?

Comming over from the Cerbera forum, so may be talking rubbish!
Check the oil level first. If that is ok then I would suspect that its your gearbox oil that have ejected itself.
Dont drive the car, and go and check the level. If it is low then you may have dislodged a pipe or something.

Hi Scotty
It is indeed dangerous to drive around without adequate oil.
The good news though is that that doesn't mean you have damaged the engine.
The difficulty selecting gear may also be because you have had a clutch/brake fluid,or gearbox fluid leak, and not a motor oil leak. Worse case scenario maybe ball of the above. (£).
Don't panic at all. Remember you have a Tuscan. She is a ferocious bitch who is great at times, and awful at others.
Things to do>
1. Do not start the car. Probably best to get it towed to the your local TVR fettler to diagnose the fault and rectify it.
2. That's it.
With any luck your encounter with the sleeping policeman may have just damaged a sump and you may simply need that replaced, and a top up of oil, and that's all.. Let us know.

I agree. I think there was a lost *ages* ago with a stpe by step guide to testing liquid patches on your driveway.
I think Green Flag coverage was a good idea for my Tuscan. For about £100 a year they would come to my house with a low loader and bring my car to the nearest TVR repairer which was 30 miles away. I guess that I would be charged about £100 or more for each trip if Green Flag werent picking up the tab!
